Barton Bund is an actor and director of stage and screen. Bart stars in The Dunes, Age of Ice, and is featured in Detroit. Jimmy P., and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Writer/Composer/Director of the stage musicals Patty Hearst and The Glob. Director and production designer of numerous beloved Shakespeare productions at Shakespeare West and Shakespeare Royal Oak. An educator at University of Michigan, Drama Teacher in Ann Arbor's Public Schools, resident writer at Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, and guest director of youth opera at Detroit Opera Theatre.

Catalytic was formed to create revealing, dynamic original media in the Great Lakes region. Media can bring people together. Films can educate and empower people. A film can be an awakening, a powerful and unforgettable experience.
Our investigative documentary series Line 5 has shown all over the world in festivals, screening events, and in schools. We helped bring a deadly local water issue to international attention. Media can provide a vital function, and can be used to provoke real change in the world.Now we venture forward, creating our first feature film, Schplitzdorf. It is a joyous comical fantasy. A fairy tale for our times.
Our company hires local professionals, and provides educational and employment opportunities to students, here in the Great Lakes region. We started out making in-depth investigative documentaries. Now that we are expanding in bold new directions, we maintain our commitment to this community.
